Neighborhood Task Force Program
About the Task Force
One MKE is excited to launch our Neighborhood Task Force Program: a new initiative to bring residents together to shape the future of their communities.
We're looking for 10 residents from each of these neighborhoods to serve on the first task forces:
Clarke Square
Walker’s Point
Washington Park
Washington Heights
Monthly Meetings: Task force members will meet once a month at their neighborhood library.
Resident-Led: Members must live in one of the four participating neighborhoods.
Community Impact: This November, each task force will host a public listening session to hear directly from neighbors. Together, you'll decide on a community project to launch in 2026.
Stipend: Members who attend the majority of meetings will receive a $100 stipend at the end of the program.
Please note that all monthly task force meetings will take place at the Washington Park or Mitchell Street Library depending on your neighborhood.
This is meant to make meetings accessible by the bus and supportive of members with children.
Non-English speakers are also encouraged to apply. Please let us know if you are in need of any translation support.
